Message #362, "A Reasonable Faith" Part 2 Acts 24:22-27 Sunday, February 17, 2019, In this study we will follow God ordering the events of the Apostle Paul's life to give him an opportunity to share about the faith in Christ. We'll consider the twenty plus years where God discipled Paul and how they prepared him to share the Gospel. Our primary question addressed in this study is "How does God use discipleship (being discipled and discipling others) to prepare us to share our faith in Christ?" Message #361, "A Reasonable Faith" Part 1 Acts 24:1-21 Sunday, February 10, 2019, Ever find yourself overwhelmed by circumstances beyond your control? Then join us as we study the life of the apostle Paul in Acts chapter 24. Our study will focus on the question: How does God lead me through circumstances outside of my control, when I'm tempted to look at God and people through the lens of my emotions, assumptions, and perceptions? Message #360, "A Still Small Voice" Acts 23:12-35 Sunday, February 03, 2019, Today we will study God's word to help us better discern God's will and develop Christ-like communications. Our first question in Acts 23:11-22 is how do I discern God's will when I have a promise from His word and no specific instructions? Then we will study three examples in Acts 23:23-35 to answer our second question: Which godly instructions should govern how we speak and how we listen? Message #359, "Fountains In the Midst of the Valleys" Acts 22:17-23:11 Sunday, January 27, 2019, As we study this portion of Acts, we will answer questions to help us understand God's sovereignty better. Does God know that there will be times when people violently reject our testimony? (Acts 22:17-22) When God takes me from a bad situation into a worse one, what is His expectation of me? (Acts 22:23-23:5) When I do my best, but see no positive results and feel discouraged or afraid, what does Jesus want me to know? Message #351: “A Fellow Laborer’s Farewell Instructions” Part 2 - Acts 20:25-38 November 25, 2018 Last week we tackled the subject of how understanding what Paul would not be moved from can both encourage and instruct us to follow in his Christ-like example. This week we will study the Scriptures to understand why an eternal/biblical perspective of this life is essential for a true disciple of Christ to live and die well. James 1:22 encouragement- In the church today it is not uncommon for us to profess belief in the Lord Jesus Christ and in His resurrection, while at the same time live as if there is no resurrection. In other words it’s possible to agree with the truth - but that truth have no effect on the way we think or how we make decisions on what we pursue. But we can find great encouragement and sound instruction by studying the life of the apostle Paul. Join us in this week’s study as we look to learn from and follow Paul’s example of an eternal/biblical perspective: one that effected everything from the way he lived among those whom he served alongside in Ephesus, down to where he would go by the leading of the Lord. Related verses: Hebrews 12:1-2 1 Corinthians 15:13-19 Ecclesiastes 2:1-11 Luke 12:15 1 Thessalonians 4, 5 2 Thessalonians 1 1 Corinthians 3 2 Corinthians 13:5
